Every year HOPE has a fundraising campaign in Dubai in the month of May. The targeted audience is Pakistani people living in Dubai. HOPE's vision is to create a well educated, healthy society in which women and children have equal rights. This year, the fundraising campaign was held at World Trade Centre organized by Ms Farah Agha. There were thirty-two participants who attended the presentation of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla?(Child Specialist- Karachi). The audience showed great interest during the presentation. There were two more phases of this campaign. Second presentation was organized by Miss Iffat Malik on 7th May 2012. Twenty five ladies were there & they were keen to know about the women of Pakistan. In the rural areas of Pakistan, women are like slaves subject to drudgery. A woman's right to liberty is restricted in the name of modesty, protection and prevention of immoral activity. In rural areas 90% of women work in the fields. They work for the whole day with their male family members, but they still have to face their wrath. HOPE is contributing a lot towards the health & education of the women in these areas. HOPE formed community based women committees, utilizing 120 young girls as teachers for HOPE schools.
The third presentation held at West Green School in Dubai & there were two hundred kids who attended. HOPE, also played a crucial role in spreading education to the poor and needy children of the country. Parents in rular areas cannot afford to send their children to school. Parents with five to six children cannot afford school fees, books and uniforms. HOPE is helping those kids by providing them free education with free text books. HOPE is running 200 informal schools & three formal schools. HOPE?has collaborated with Target to promote better quality?education?in the HOPE formal and informal schools.?
